About CALL
We can evaluate the software based on 4 parts:
(1) Reading: Reading might seem like a lot of work, but it can be one of the most rewarding ways to improve children’s English. Using TextSTAT that we can easily find high frequency word from article, novels, picture books, etc. Take notes while reading. Help students understanding of the language and build their vocabulary data base.
(2) Listening: Teacher can upload lists of unknown words. Lexique Pro can help students learning new vocabulary sound, spelling. Ears need regular listening practice to stay sharp.
(3) Speaking: Lexique Pro can help students improve their new vocabulary sound, spelling, sentences. They can follow the sound to improve their pronunciation, learn the natural flow of English, build English speaking confidence. Moreover, Lexique Pro can help them practice Self-talk, through talk to themself in English loudly and improve their speaking skill.
(4) Writing: These media combine with words, parts of speech (noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection), sentences, and Chinese translation. The function just like a tiny dictionary, provide English resources during writing.
During CALL class, we learned about how to combine the English teaching with technology and medida. We transformed our teaching materials to App, videos, audible book, etc. The sense of accomplishment in the process was hard to explain. Every members were so essential in our group, we done the recorded, built words dictionary databases together, cooperated with each other. That’s really an awesome experience for me. By Zoe
After taking this class, I completed the e-book, dictionary, and app of the picture book through cooperation with my classmates. These results made me feel very fulfilled. My favorite app introduced by the teacher is animaker. In the future, children can create their own animations in the classroom. By Eileen

I think it’s not easy to make these apps. But in our teaching, it would be useful. The students could get the information from them. So the computer is one kind of assistance.

I think every single time we almost help each other.To attend our teaching goal must take a lot of time, Computer science can assist our teaching, but the process also make us tiring about debug, whenever we can’t figure out what’s the problems with the app, two heads are better than one, it always be okay in the end, hope you enjoy our website and have fun！
